Dragonfly posing for the camera
Dragonfly Posing, Burnaby Lake, BC

"I captured this dragonfly as he sunned himself. It was like he was just waiting for me while posing for the camera. This was taken at Burnaby Lake Park in October 2009."

Dewdrops on Red Leaves, Mission, BC

"Early one morning while my husband and I were staying in Mission, BC in 2006,  I woke up to find the backyard laden with heavy dew. It was then I was able to get this photograph of these dew laden red leaves."
Surfers contemplating the next wave
Contemplation, Tofino, BC

"While staying in Tofino in February 2009 and walking the beaches, my husband and I encountered these surfers taking a break. It seemed as though they were contemplating whether to return to the surf or not."

Tree Overhanging Lake Couchiching, Orillia, ON

"While spending the summer in Orillia, Ontario in 2006, we would ride our bikes through a local waterfront park, Tudhope Park. On this particular early June day, the water was especially still and this is just one of several photos taken of Lake Couchiching that day."

Melting Sawyer Glacier, Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

"In July of 2005, we were able to go on a cruise to Alaska. We had the good fortune of taking a side trip into the Tracy Arm Fjord where we encountered a "live" melting glacier in the process of rapidly deteriorating. The entire Fjord was filled with broken pieces of the glacier and I was overwhelmed with a sense of sadness. "

A Golden Sunrise, East of Osoyoos, BC

"In the fall of 2006, we ventured south but not before heading eastward into Alberta first. On our way we stayed for several days in Osoyoos, BC's desert. It was while exploring the area early one morning, that we encountered this most incredible sunrise. We just had to stop to photograph it."
Small photo of two people watching the winter storm in Tofino, BC
Winter Storm Watching, Tofino, BC

"Tofino, BC inspires me to no end. While there on a long weekend in February, 2009, we explored the beaches and photographed surfers, seaweed and other storm watchers. The sky and the surf is forever changing and so  I photographed these two fellow stormwatchers as they stood on the beach taking in the wonder of the view."
Small photo of Lake Kalamalka, Vernon, BC
Kalamalka Lake, Vernon, BC

"While on a roadtrip to Vernon in July, 2006 we decided to do some exploring and we came across a most glorious, deep blue lake. The day was perfect with barely a cloud in the sky and I was able to capture this view of Kalamalka Lake, showing the minimal contrast between the deep blue-green of the water with the deep blue of the sky."
Small photo of Rocky Steps on a beach in Tofino, BC
Rocky Steps on a Beach in Tofino, BC

"Tofino, once again reigns supreme for inspiration and photographic subjects. While exploring the many beaches in 2009, we came across several beachfront chalets. These "Rocky Steps" formed the beginning of a pathway up to one of them."
Small photo of Burnaby Lake, 2006, Burnaby, BC
Burnaby Lake, 2006, Burnaby, BC

"One of the many things I like about the lower mainland of BC is that despite the close proximity of the city, nature is all around us. In 2006 just shortly before we headed south for the winter we took a stroll through Burnaby Lake Park and encountered this beautiful scene.."
